Cleaning and Sterilising Spray Bottles
Before adding your refill, it's essential to properly clean and sterilise your spray bottle to ensure hygiene and effectiveness. Here's how:
- Rinse Thoroughly – Empty any remaining liquid and rinse the bottle and nozzle with warm water.
- Wash with Soap – Fill the bottle halfway with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Shake well, then spray through the nozzle to clean the internal tube.
- Deep Clean with Vinegar or Baking Soda – For a natural disinfectant, mix equal parts white vinegar and water or create a baking soda solution. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes before rinsing.
- Sterilise with Boiling Water – If your bottle is heat-resistant, submerge it in boiling water for a few minutes to kill bacteria.
